• Non antibiotic therapies against bacteria including Antimicrobial peptides, Antibacterial polymers, Phage therapy, and anti-biofilm nanoparticles.
• Biomaterials, novel dental technologies, antibacterial properties of dental materials, advanced dental materials.
• Oral microbiology, bacterial adhesion, biofilm.
•  Multi-cellular behaviors of bacteria including cell-to-cell communication, differentiation, programmed cell death and biofilms
• Bacterial persistence and antibiotic tolerance mechanisms
